Access
Students and their families have been exposed to people, programs, resources, and connections that can open doors for them, and they navigate and access those opportunities.
Introduction
In my practice I aspire to be a transformational educator and leader. In order to accomplish this goal, I seek to provide my students exposure that opens doors to programs, resources, connections, and opportunities that will broaden their current understanding of their academic learning and the world around them. Through the provision of additional enrichment and awareness students learn the interconnectedness of their in-class learning and its purpose outside of our classroom walls. By increasing student and family awareness of opportunity, the community is further encouraged to participate in experiences and connections that will create long-term benefit.

Conclusion
In providing my students greater access, educators must be vigilant to expose students to resources, programs, and connections that could have lifetime benefits. Based upon documenting my current practices of access and reflection I realize the weight of my influence in my students' futures. Teachers have a unique position to open doors and foster connections that can shape the entire trajectory of lives. When determining the most meaningful access points, I took inventory of what was currently available to my particular students. I reflected and utilized my knowledge of the world to provide moments of exposure and student lead initiatives. Knowing that what we do, say, and provide exposure to on a daily basis sets in motion college and career readiness, motivates me to push this practice even further.
